Benefits of RF: Long range control, no direct line of sight requirement. You can even control the screen from anther room or behind the wall. Benefits of IR: IR control require direct line of sight to the receiver box, but its signal can be learned by universal remotes, such as the popular harmony remote, great for home theater integration solutions. Add an elegant wall switch, the switch is slim, handsome, and can easily fit into any room theme.
Add 12V trigger connection capability. If your projector supports 12V trigger, you can connect your projector to the screen control. So your projector power on and off activity will trigger screen action at the same time. How cool is that? (Note: 12V out connection jack from projector is specific to your projector make and model, not included in the kit. Please consult your projector manual or manufacture.) For a limited time only! Quick Q&A: Can I perform the upgrade by myself?
You can purchase this upgrade package alone if you are planning to upgrade by yourself. However, we do not recommend user to perform the upgrade by themselves. It requires farily good amount of knowledge of electronic components and soldering. Please consult and/or hire a qualified professional unless you are 100% sure about performing the upgrade. We are not responsible for any possible damages to product, surrounding human being, animal or any other items from upgrades performed by user or user assigned individual(s).
Important note: Due to concerns around potential shipping damages in shipping screen back and forth, we currently do not accept request to "can I buy this upgrade and ship back my current screen to get it upgraded". Projector screen is fragile and improper packaging by the customer almost always result in shipping damage. Thank you for your understanding.
