The dual remote upgrade for HDVio series projector screen adds IR (Infrared) control capability to the original RF (Radio Frequency) control system. So you will get the best out of both control methods and explore the full potential of your Focupix HDVio series screen:
Benefits of RF: Long range control, no direct line of sight requirement. You can even control the screen from anther room or behind the wall.
Benefits of IR: IR control require direct line of sight to the receiver box, but its signal can be learned by universal remotes, such as the popular Harmony remote, great for home theater integration solutions.
The upgrade includes both the parts ($99 value) and labor cost for installation,such as rewiring and soldering.
How to get this upgrade: add this upgrade to your HDVio screen order, and our specially trained technicians will complete the upgrade for your screen before shipment. Testing will be performed to ensure it is working. (note: this upgrade may delay your shipment by 24 hours, same day shipping option is not available for screen orders with this upgrade).
Quick Q&A: Can I perform the upgrade by myself?
You can purchase this upgrade package alone if you are planning to upgrade by yourself. However, we do not recommend user to perform the upgrade by themselves. It requires fairly good amount of knowledge of electronic components. Please consult and/or hire a qualified professional unless you are 100% sure about performing the upgrade. We are not responsible for any possible damages to product, surrounding humans, animals or any other items from upgrades performed by user or user assigned individual(s).
Important note: Due to concerns around potential shipping damages in shipping screen back and forth, we currently do not accept request to "can I buy this upgrade and ship back my current HDVio screen to get it upgraded".
